Bayhorsepub.com Fantasy Football is all about picking the best possible team of Premier League footballers and scoring points based on their actual performances during the 2007/8 season.

You can make up to 4 transfers whenever you like once the season kicks off so if your players get injured – or just aren’t performing – that’s the time to wield the axe.

The game is great fun, easy to play and really adds an extra dimension to your season.

PICKING A TEAM

Select your 11 names from the player list below, ensuring that you stick to a budget of £50m. You can choose from two formations and you’ll be able to switch between these two during the season:
 
 
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PLAY?
This year each team you enter costs £20.

KICK OFF
Make sure you submit and pay your entry fee for your team(s) before 5pm on Wednesday August 8th. There is plenty of time so this year there are no exceptions, no payment - no entry.

SCORING POINTS

All players
+2 pts for appearing in the starting XI
+1 pt for appearing as a substitute

+3 pts for an assist (playing a significant part in setting up a goal)
+5 pts for scoring a goal (including FA Cup penalty shoot-outs)
+3 pts for being named as the Opta Sportdata Man-of-the-Match

-5 pts for missing a penalty (including shoot-outs)
-3 pts for an own goal

-5 pts for being sent off
-2 pts for a booking

Goalkeepers and defenders only
+4 pts for a full match clean sheet
+2 pts for not conceding a goal during a part-appearance
+5 pts for a penalty save (goalkeepers only, including FA Cup penalty shoot-outs)
-1 pt for each goal conceded (not including shoot-outs)

FOLLOWING YOUR PROGRESS
We will be updating the scores here at Bayhorsepub.com every Wednesday, where you will find this years teams, player lists, rules and the League Table.

You can make up to 4 transfers once the season gets underway. But you must always stick within the budget of £50m and follow either of the 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formations.

Transfers once the season has started must be submitted by 5pm the day before the game. No exceptions.

Trophy

A scale model replica Premiership trophy will be awarded to the winner of the Fantasy Football league.

Simply engraved " Bayhorsepub.com Fantasy Football League Winner"

The 07/08 winner can keep this trophy until the following year, when it will then be awarded to the 08/09 winner.
